Reality Bytes has a mission
With so many reality shows in the mix, there seems to be a real distinction drawn, between good reality and reality shows from the other side of the tracks. Yes, there is an underbelly of reality shows on TV today; no doubt. Vast numbers of reality show fans have their favorites and many of them draw lines that they will not cross. If it’s “trash reality”, then who set the standard? It can be a fine line we seem to set for ourselves, because; we are our own judges. This is one of the reasons we watch any of these shows, to pass a judgment and be our own critics.
Reality Bytes is not out to draw the lines or even cater to either side of the reality show tracks. Some of these shows live in one side of town, while others live in hills, down the boulevard, or set up residency on islands in the main stream of network reality.
Reality Bytes is a blog that dedicates itself to trying to be insightful, in a world that is saturated with this form of media entertainment. After all, reality TV is supposed to be of an entertaining nature. By it’s own nature, this medium will provide its own insights and it’s own self serving interests. In the end, it is always up to the viewer to walk away from these experiences and draw their own conclusions.
